Today.. I was looking for very important documents which I had not attended for so long and that I need to take serious actions now. It is serious because I would be "giving away" "pemberian kasih sayang" by my parents.. giving away - just like that!

err giving away = disita

pemberian kasih sayang = tanah seluas 6 plus 3 ekar

I need to give due attention to these pieces of land now.. at the very least.. as a mark of respect to my late father's passion.

My late father loved agriculture and when we were small we used to balik kampung to Lanchang, Pahang and Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan for bercucuk tanam.

err While looking for those documents.. I came across with lots of photos of my past.

Here.. my parents as they received "duit buapak" from the groom on my wedding day. Giving "duit buapak" is a Negeri Sembilan tradition. Though, we are not originally from Negeri Sembilan transcendence.. but we were married in Tampin, Negeri Sembilan.. thus we had to comply with "adat-istiadat" Negeri Sembilan.

Test 111.. Moving Details

Yesterday.. we went back to our kampung.. not only for that routine visit of my mother but also my younger sister is having a Majlis Pertunangan of her youngest daughter.

omak aih.. macam kenduri kawin.. meriahnya!

err On the way back to our kampung.. we would have to pass one hilly route.. beautiful green view.. fuh! but unfortunately that 111 Canon PowerShot A1000IS (isy! macam promosi pulak aih?!).. decided to take a break.. it ran out of battery.

aiseyman!

So.. I spent the time reading through the manual for further information of this 111 camera.

Then.. we made a fast stop at one of the kedai kampung but only managed to get that not so heavy duty brand of AA batteries.

Lets have a look at these "green shots" I took while the car is in motion.. at 60-80 km per hour.

By the way.. when I was in college.. back in the early 1980s.. I joined the Photography Club. It was fun with that era of manual camera.. where you really have to be in the dark room to process the film.. and not to mention.. dependable on the mercy of the weather for that wanted beautiful desired shots.

I remembered embarking on a project as per required by the lecturer and that I had to present it on slides and showed my "masterpiece" via the projector.

It was fun then.. photographing and processing the film.. and then cutting the film into strips.. mounting them as slides and finally projecting them.

The whole process was a tidious one.. quite expensive too.. in compared to the current more technologised version of photographing.. err mahal juga ek?

hmmmmm

At the end of the day.. it is not just snapping shots here and there.. but rather.. the yearning interest and passion of ever capturing your "environment" accordingly.. to your choice of interest.

knowledge and skills are intertwined.. actually.

one might have the knowledge.. but skills not that acquired

one might have the skills.. but knowledge is lacking

knowledge.. ilmu

skills.. amal

again.. knowledge and skills.. intertwining in such balanced ambience.

"Magnolia for mum n woodspice 4 dad.. Love u guys"

err.. At that point in time I was like.. "minuman apa pulak ni?"

err Girl no. 1 is in the habit of bringing home food or drink every time she is late home from work.

She knew very well that I would still be up and about.

Anyway.. coming back to M & S thing..

Yesterday morning.. girl no. 1 told me that.. as she saw those Magnolia bars and Woodspice liquid soap.. auto cruise she saw "ayah" and "emak".

I told her.. Freesia.. Magnolia and Cocoa Butter were my all time favourites of M & S when I was young and till boy no. 2. Then.. I switched brand because of the economical situation. As a matter of fact my undies was of M & S.. I told her.

"la.. patut le.. wei adik.. aku baby M & S le!" girl no. 1 shouted to boy no. 2 and her siblings.

I am no photographer.. least of all a professional one. Photographer or not.. capturing my "environment" is what I love to do.. with or without that artificial capturing device - the camera.

err I owned no sophisticated fully gadgeted SLR camera.. but just recently that 111 Canon PowerShot A1000IS that I was so lucky to want and win one. It is sort of a replacement to that Nikon CoolPix I bought at RM1300 way back in the early 2000s. It went caput of one occasion that I had accidentally "tercampak" as a result of a "fast and furious" episode.. he he.

Coming back to capturing my "environment".. depending on my mood of the day.. and the nature that sets in.. I would always be on the sensitiveness of what my surrounding has to offer me.. just nice to unwind my day.

Here.. some of my "virgin shots" of that 111 Canon.. as I walked to my car last Friday.. err I was in quite "high" mood that day.

i was bored.. really really really bored.

we were at an official meeting at PD.. err Port Dickson.

it was supposed to be an outdoor afternoon of physical activities full of fun but the weather is more at fantastic.. that some decided to have fun in the heavy downpour later.

err imagine.. playing in the rain.. out there jumping and splashing in the sea.. running on the beach.. and you are mostly more than 30 years of age!
